Violation Description: The captain of a petroleum barge that exploded in 2005, resulting in the death of a crew member, was sentenced to six months in federal prison after being convicted of felony maritime negligence and causing thousands of gallons of oil to pollute the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal.
